Teen Review: The Candy Makers

The Candy Makers by MF

The book The Candy Makers by Wendy Mass is about four kids who enter a candy making competition. They each have to come up with their own unique and one of a kind candy and the best one wins.  Before they start, the candy maker has to show the kids all the candy and they have to figure out what goes good together and how it would taste.

One of the four contestants is the candy maker's son. All of the kids think that since he lives in the factory, that he would know the most about the candy and what candies are good together and how to make it. But he doesn't know as much as they think he does.

This book is good for either girls or boys in any age group between 11-14. I recommend this book to kids who like candy or enjoy reading about friendships and mysteries or surprise.
