Divergent Review by JK
Divergent by Veronica Roth is a thriller and fantasy that places the reader in Chicago, the only city still intact after a war. It features the life and store of Beatrice Prior. When she takes her aptitude test, she finds out that she is divergent.
Being divergent means that she was placed in more than one faction during her test. Many people believe that divergents threaten the factions system and how they work. So, most divergents who are caught being divergent are usually executed.
Tris decided to pick the Dauntless faction, thinking it is probably the safest option. Tris must now hide her divergence from her new faction while trying to survive the Dauntless brutal initiation. Tris meets Tobias who is also divergent. Both of them almost immediately fall in love with one another.
This is a book that I would recommend to young adults and to people who like thrillers and romance.
