Teen Review: Disney Movies

Disney Movies by MB

Disney movies in general are very good in terms of watching a movie with your family and getting a good lesson out of it. If you readers don;t get what I'm saying or don't agree with me, keep reading and this may change your mind. Also, if you are reading this and say these movies are for little kids, I can see how you feel that way with the magic and fairy tale creatures, but trust me, they are great movies.

For example, the movie "The Lion King" was such a good movie. It was such a good father son lesson throughout the story and the lesson of having friends back you up was also there. This movie was also sad and may make you cry if you watch it. But don't worry, I won't spoil the movie so you can watch it for yourselves. Another movie that shows friendship and father son relationships has to be "Finding Nemo."I can only say that this movie is one of my favorites. It was so strong with having your father/family member always there to protect you, and having friends supporting you.

If this isn't enough to convince you that Disney movies are great, then don't worry, I have more movies to talk about to convince you. "Ratatouille" was also a great movie made by Disney because on your confidence and figment of imagination to help you great through problems that you face. This movie always shows the way friends are there to support you throughout your problems. The movie "The Princess and the Frog" was also a great Disney movie because it was based on following your dreams with hard work to get you things you want.  This movie as well as others show the strong power that friendship and family have to support you to accomplish your dreams and follow them.

These must be good reasons to help you readers see that these movies are powerful with lessons. But if there still are people who don't agree, that's cool I sort of say the same things with some Disney movies because some of the magic isn't my type of movie. Disney over years has made great movies that show many valuable life lessons and help readers like Mickey, Pluto, Minnie Mouse, Daisy, Goofy, Donald Duck, and other Disney characters, that's cool, so do I. These characters were part of the platform that expanded Disney into different paths of movies, characters, and many other ideas in my opinion. The movie "Steamboat Willie" I believe starred Mickey Mouse for the first movie that was great hit. In my opinion, Disney  movies are really good and those are great movies to watch with your family or by yourself.

What's an Appropriate Curfew for High Schoolers?

Parents Magazine, Jan Faull, MEd, on deciding on a high school curfew for teens. My sophomore loves to go to parties with juniors and seniors and to stay out late. What's an appropriate curfew for a sophomore in high school? A.  It's time to put on your power-parenting persona and open up curfew negotiations. There's no need to worry too much, because deep in your teens' heart, he really wants a reasonable and somewhat flexible curfew. When your teen is out with friends, tired and ready to go home -- or just plain not liking the social scene -- it's difficult to say, "I'm tired, I'm going home." It's easier to say, "My curfew is 12:30. I'll be grounded if I'm not home soon." Despite this fact, you need to bear up as your son, like any self-respecting  teenager , will probably moan, stomp, and gripe while claiming, "None of my friends have curfews. You're a control freak." Let your son go on as such, it...
